Welcome to the Town of Hull Fire Department / Rescue website.
The Town of Hull Fire Department is dedicated to providing the best possible fire and rescue services available. Our Department takes a very proactive approach in our role as fire fighters and in our support to the community. We have a rigorous training schedule in which we meet twice a month. In addition to our training, we regularly utilize the following agencies to further enhance the department's depth of services: Mid State Technical College, National Fire Academy, Federal Emergency Management Association, Office of Justice Assistance, National Incident Management System, Hurst School, Wisconsin State Fire Fighters Association, and Wisconsin State Fire Chief's Association. The Hull Fire Department / Rescue is part of the Portage County Mutual Aid Program as well as the Wisconsin MABAS (Mutual Aid Box Alarm System) in which we are able to assist other communities and may receive aid in our time of need.
The Hull Fire Department / Rescue averages approximately 65-75 calls per year.
In addition to the fire and rescue services, Hull also responds to Emergency Medical calls in the community. Our EMS group has approximately fifteen medically trained personnel, most of which are EMT's.
In October 2013, the Hull Fire Department joined the Metro Fire District. The Metro Fire District now consists of the Village of Plover FD, Stevens Point FD and Hull FD covering all areas of Hull, Plover, Whiting and the City of Stevens Point. In joining the Metro FD it will insure the best fire response possible to these municipalities with a minimum of 3 fire engines, 1 ladder type truck and a minimum of 14 fire fighters. Response times to the Town of Hull could be shortened in some areas.
